Chris McGarry

Like many authors, my love for the pen started at a young age. I would spend hours reading the wonderful adventures of authors such as Robert Louis Stevenson and Jules Verne. Through reading, I drifted into worlds of fantasy and make believe, a prerequisite for any fiction writer. Throughout school, my interest in literary arts took me into screenwriting. After high school, I attended Holland College in Charlottetown, earning my journalism degree. Since 2006, I have worked as a newspaper reporter, freelance writer, columnist, magazine editor, copywriter and author. Travelling truly inspires me to write. I’ve been to the Southern United States, Canadian Rockies, hiked Mount Tai’shan in China and explored the jungles of Hainan Island.
